More Players Pullout of Black Stars Game

There have been more pullouts from Ghana?s friendly game against Slovenia, which will be played later today. Two players Ishmael Addo of Bastia in France and Emmanuel Duah of Portuguese side Unaio Leira have not been able to make it to Slovenia due to various commitments. This brings to six the number of Black Stars players who could not make the trip to Slovenia. They are Charles Amoah of AK Sturm Graz, Augustine Arhinful of Ankaragucu, Hans Adu Sarpei of Wolfsburg and Otto Addo of Borrusia Dortmund.

However Black Stars interim handler, Malik Jabir has a lot of quality players to choose from. They include Italy based players, Stephen Appiah, John Mensa, Sulley Muntari and Razak Ibrahim. Others are Derek Boateng, Michael Essien, Kofi Amponsah, Baffour Gyan and Peter Ofori Quaye.

Officials of the Ghana Football Association say the match is to keep the Black Stars active in a bid to assemble a team for future tournaments. Meanwhile, Yugoslav coach, Milan Zivadinovic, is in Slovenia to watch the Black Stars game against the world cup bound Slovaks.

The match will give the coach a sneak preview of the material he would work with in his tenure of office as the coach of the Black Stars, which begins next week. The coach will also hold discussions with GFA boss Ben Koufie over his signing on fee. He will ask for an increase in the signing on fee from 10,000 US Dollars to about 15,000 US Dollars.
