Newly elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) national executives, led by the party’s Chairman, John Boadu, on October 8, 2026, paid a courtesy call on former President John Agyekum Kufuor.

In a Facebook post shared by the 2nd Vice Chairman of the party, Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, he explained that the purpose of the leadership’s visit was to formally introduce themselves and seek guidance from the former president.

“Today, we, the newly elected National Executives of the New Patriotic Party, led by our National Chairman, Mr John Boadu, paid a courtesy call on former President H.E. John Agyekum Kufuor at his residence to formally introduce ourselves and seek his guidance as we begin our mandate,” he said.

Following the post on Facebook, netizens have once again raised concerns as the party’s newly elected First Vice Chairman, Kojo Fosu Boadu, popularly known as Kojo “Bamba”, was once again missing from all the pictures shared online.

It may be recalled that this is not the first time such an incident has occurred, as a similar situation happened when the new leadership paid a visit to the party’s presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to Kojo Bamba, he missed Dr Bawumia’s meeting because he had other engagements that were equally important.

“I had other engagements; that was why I couldn’t attend the meeting. I was aware of the meeting because I was informed.

“I asked for permission from the leadership, and I was permitted. So there is no bad blood between the leadership and me,” he said.

Despite Kojo Bamba’s explanation, some netizens have begun raising doubts, with some suggesting that the newly elected First Vice Chairman may have been sidelined by the party despite his victory.

Others have claimed that his absence from the visit to former President Kufuor’s residence suggests there could be more to the situation than his earlier explanation.
