Abuakwa Police intercept large quantity of marijuana

Abuakwa (Ash), Sept. 4, GNA - The Police at the Abuakwa Barrier, near Kumasi on Tuesday night intercepted a Kumasi bound vehicle from Bibiani carrying 20 bags containing leaves suspected to be marijuana. According to the Abuakwa Police, at about 2300hrs on Tuesday, personnel on duty at the Barrier stopped a cargo truck travelling from Bibiani to Kumasi loaded with charcoal.

The Police said during a search, 20 bags containing dried leaves suspected to be the stuff were found hidden among the bags of charcoal. When the driver was questioned, he was unable to mention the owner of the marijuana, the Police source said, adding that the driver's mate escaped when his Master was being questioned.
