KMA to re-value all landed properties

Kumasi, April 13, GNA - The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has decided to re-value all landed properties to capture all new properties in its tax net.

The move has become necessary due to the increase in the number of landed property that has increased from 48,000 to about 150,000. The assembly reached the decision during its second ordinary meeting on Tuesday.

Mr.S.K. Boafo, the Ashanti Regional Minister, suggested to the house to identify other sources of revenue such as expansion of satellite markets, creation of car parks among others. He announced plans to re-name all streets in the metropolis for security reasons.
