The Ghanaian Democrat

The Democrat in a front page story reports Alhaji Huudu Yahaya, General secretary of the NDC as saying that contrary to some misconceptions being carried by a section of the press, "the ruling NDC is as solid as the Rock of Gibraltar and remains the party to beat". Alhaji Yahaya, in an interview with the Democrat, is reported to have said that the NDC is a big family of ordinary Ghanaians and when a problem arises, "we know how to solve it like a family". The general secretary, the paper says, explained that what the writing about cracks in the NDC or that the party is disintegrating, is only their "wishful thinking". According to the Democrat, Alhaji Yahaya admitted that in any human institution, there are contradictions but pointed out that it is not all contradictions that develop into chaos. "Unfortunately that is what our adversaries want to happen as it is happening among the opposition, but we shall never see chaos in the NDC", he was quoted as saying.
