Cedi On The Decline

DAKAR, Senegal (PANA) - The Ghanaian cedi and the CFA franc continued to decline vis a vis other major hard currencies this week.

On Monday, the cedi averaged 2,534.86 to the US dollar, down from the average of 2,427.86 recorded previously.

The CFA franc also began the week on the downside, opening Monday at the average rate of 640 to the dollar, from 628 to the greenback one week ago.

In Dakar Tuesday, the currency exchanged at 626 (buying) and 656 (selling) for one dollar, down from 618 (buying) and 648 (selling) to the American currency 21 June.
