Insurance agent fatally run over by truck in Western Region

A 29-year-old insurance agent, Esther Amoah, was run over by a Benz truck loaded with cement on the Apowa–Agona Nkwanta Highway in the Western Region on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

According to multiple reports online, Esther was returning home after visiting her younger brother, a student of St. Mary’s Boys SHS, when the incident occurred.

"A 29-year-old lady, Esther Amoah, met her untimely death after she was run over by a truck loaded with cement on the Apowa–Agona Nkwanta Highway last Saturday. According to information, Esther, an insurance agent, was returning home after visiting her younger brother, a student of St. Mary’s Boys SHS, to give him food when the incident occurred.

The post further stated, "Eyewitnesses who were also attempting to cross the road said that when she decided to move, two vehicles were coming from opposite directions, leaving her confused. Unfortunately, the cement truck struck and ran over her. She was still holding a food flask after going to deliver food to her brother at school."
