Ignore NDC propaganda on economy - NPP Chairman

Mr Gibrine Tanko Toye, Agona West Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged Ghanaians to ignore the propaganda campaigns of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) communicators and government functionaries, about the true state of the economy. He said the NDC has failed to show commitment and serious concern in finding a lasting solution to the numerous problems facing the nation. Mr Toye made the call when he addressed media practitioners to climax the celebration of Eid-uL-Fitr at Agona Swedru.

He pointed out that the NDC government has no anti-dote to the current fast depreciation of the country’s currency, and its ripple effects on the national economy.

Mr Toye said last week’s demonstration by Organized Labour against government over terrible conditions of service, the energy crisis, tariffs increment, price hike in goods and services, were ample evidence of incompetence of the NDC government.

He said it was regrettable that all the social interventions put in place by former President Kufuor, have collapsed, due to the mismanagement of the NDC government.

He advised Ghanaians to remain calm, and brace themselves up to vote massively for the NPP in 2016, since in his view, it was only NPP that can find workable solutions to the economic problems facing the country.
