New appointments in VAT Service

Accra, July 18, GNA - The Government in consultation with the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, the Revenue Agencies Governing Board and the Public Service Commission on Tuesday made changes in the management of the Value Added Tax Service (VATS) A statement issued by the Revenue Agencies Governing Board said the changes were in consonance with the President's policy on reshuffling to revamp the operations of the Service to respond appropriately to current and future challenges.

Mr Anthony Ewereko Minlah has been appointed Commissioner of VATS. He replaces Mr Joseph Ferdinand Odartey-Blankson while Mr Kwasi Gyimah-Asante, Former Deputy Commissioner Finance and Administration is the new Deputy Commissioner, Operations, he replaces Mr George Blankson.

Mr Kenneth Bentsi-Enchill maintains his position as Deputy Commissioner, Research and Mr Benjamin S. K. Egbem, an Assistant Commissioner, Finance, becomes the Deputy Commissioner, Internal Audit. The statement said the appointments take immediate effect.
