Gomoa Postin PTA accommodates Teachers

Gomoa Potsin, Feb. 16, GNA - The Parent/Teacher Association of the Gomoa Potsin Ahmadiyya Secondary School has completed ten bungalows at the cost of about 600,000,000 cedis to house teachers of the school. The PTA has also finished the first floor of a two-storey girls dormitory, which was started about two years ago.

Mr. Mohammed K. Ackonu, Chairman of the PTA disclosed this after taking news men round projects in the school.

The team also inspected an estimated 800,000,000 cedis home science block into which the government had already spent 200,000,000 cedis through the GET Fund.

Mr Ackonu on behalf of the management and the Board of Governors thanked the government for helping to provide pipe borne water and electricity to the school.

Mr Ackonu praised the senior housemistress, Miss Evelyn Kissi and her team for injecting a higher level of discipline in the girls and expressed the hope that they would maintain it to give the students a holistic training.

Miss Kissi said seventy out of the candidates presented for last year's school certificate examination qualified to further their education in the universities.

She said the female student population at the school would increase from 390 to 800 when the new dormitory is completed. Miss Kissi said there are plans to institute measures to strengthen the moral training to maintain the excellent image the school had calved for itself.
