'I will be running for office in 2028' – Oliver Barker-Vormawor

Activist and lawyer Oliver Barker-Vormawor has hinted at his decision to contest political office in 2028.

He made the disclosure in a post on his X page on September 12, 2025, writing, “I think I will be running for office in 2028. Shalom.”

Barker-Vormawor, who has been vocal on issues of governance and accountability, did not specify which office he intends to contest or the political platform he would run on.

His announcement has already sparked conversations on social media, with some welcoming the news as a fresh opportunity for leadership renewal, while others have called for clarity on his political plans and questioned his readiness for public office.

Although further details of his political ambitions remain unclear, his declaration marks the first public signal of his readiness to transition from activism into active politics.
