Chairman of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Dr. Josiah Aryeh says he has never lobbied President John Mahama for a job even though they are friends.
According to Dr. Aryeh, who is a Board member of the National Pension Trust, he does not intend lobbying for any position in the Mahama government.
The former General Secretary of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) told XYZ Breakfast show host Moro Awudu on Wednesday that he will only accept any job offer from the president after consultations with his party.
“I’ve never been offered any [job] and I’ve never lobbied for any and I say that categorically. Nobody can challenge me on [that]”, Dr. Aryeh said on the show.
He said: “I’ve done sufficient work for the NDC, I mean not covertly by overtly, in the open, prominently so if anybody thinks that you deserve whatever or you have this ability or talent, I don’t have to showcase it. I don’t have to prove it to anybody”.
He said: “I’ve never been near the Castle; I’ve never been near Flagstaff House with the aim of lobbying for a job”.
