GHALCA Faced With Tickets Racketeering Deals

The Ghana League Clubs Association has condemned incidents of ticket racketeering that occurred at some entry points at the Sekondi Gyandu Park and Sunyani Coronation Park during the opening round of matches in its Knockout competition last week.

There were reports that ticket sellers at some gates, with the connivance of club officials, sold fake tickets instead of the original ones given out by GHALCA at these venues.

The administrative manager of the association, Kudjoe Fianoo, says clubs such practices are an affront to professionalism.

Fianoo told JoySports that GHALCA will institute intensive monitoring measures to rid the game of this practice once and for all.

GHALCA are determined to carefully co-ordinate the organization of competitions with the National Sports Council and the VAT Secretariat to ensure transparency in ticket sales at the match venues in the future
