I’ll be embarking on depression tour – MzVee

Singer Vera Hamenoo Kpeda, who is known on stage as MzVee, has revealed that she will be embarking on a tour to create awareness about depression soon.

The former Lynx Entertainment signee disclosed this during an interview on Akoma FM’s Kwantenpon drive time show hosted by Tony Best.

MzVee explained that the tour is inspired by her personal experience with depression.

The singer, recently in an interview with TV3 revealed that she was depressed for almost a year and that, but for the timely intervention of family and musician Efya, she wouldn’t have been able to overcome it.

“I have three albums to my credit and I took a break in 2019 from Lynx Entertainment due to my depression because I wasn’t happy inside me and terminated my contract with Richie Mensah after working with him for seven years,” she said.

MzVee, who was in Kumasi to promote her new single titled ‘Who Are You’, took the opportunity to advise music lovers that depression is real and at any moment in one’s life they can get depressed.

“Efya and my family played pivotal role in getting me recovered. Ghanaians don’t know how depression looks like, depression can lead to someone killing himself or herself and I want to embark a complete tour on depression,” she said.

Asked if she is signed to a new label, the singer said she is now on her own.

“I have a new team working with ‘Team Mzvee’ and I am releasing two albums this year 2020 and this year is going to be crazy because I recorded many songs when I had a year break,” MzVee said.
