SSNIT pays Students' Loans

Accra, Oct. 28,GNA - The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) has processed a total of 21,000 out of 40,000 loan applications submitted from 15 institutions for payment on Wednesday. A statement signed by Mr K Osei Bimpong, Head of Public Affairs of SSNIT, on Tuesday, said that out of the 11,900 students loans forms submitted by the University of Ghana, 7,500 students' loans have been processed for payment on Wednesday.

The statement said, "the cheques covering the 7,500 will be sent to banks tomorrow and it is expected that the accounts of students will be credited by next week".
