GSE Index ends week on mixed

Accra, May 12, GNA - Trading on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) ended the week on mixed note on Friday with the main index inching up slightly but volumes declining.

The GSE All-Share Index, the main stock measure, gained a marginal 0.4 points at 4,789.82 points from 4,789.42 points on Thursday and change year to date inched up to 0.44 per cent.

Total shares traded were down at 73,700 shares from 107,000. On the broader market there were three positive price changes. Aluworks gained 21 cedis at 6,550 cedis, Enterprise Insurance Company was two cedis better at 7,252 cedis and Guinness Ghana Brewery Limited was one cedi better at 8,702 cedis.

Market capitalisation was up at 92,454.54 billion cedis from 92,453.44 billion cedis.
