The Deputy National Women's Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dzifa Tegah, has recounted how she lost her job as a communications officer at the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) during the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration.
According to her, she was dismissed after mistakenly sharing a party communication on SIGA's platform while carrying out her duties as a communications officer for the NDC.
Speaking in an interview on Accra FM on October 28, 2026, Tegah said the incident occurred during the tenure of Asamoah Boateng as head of SIGA.
She explained that, at the time, she was serving as a communications officer at SIGA while also holding an executive position in the NDC.
Tegah said she had prepared a write-up containing an instruction from the party, which she intended to circulate across its various communication platforms.
She noted that the document was not controversial but contained her name and position as the party's communications officer.
She narrated that in the process of distributing the message, she mistakenly included SIGA's page, resulting in the party communication being posted on the Authority's platform.
“It was all because I made a mistake; I don’t know if I should call it that. The emblem of SIGA was green and red, and the NDC emblem is also dominated by green and red,” she recounted.
“As a communication person of the party, I worked on a write-up that I was going to blast across all our platforms. It wasn’t anything bad; it was just an instruction which had my name, Dzifa Tegah, Communication Officer.
“As I was blasting it, I added the SIGA page, and the message was on that platform too. There and then they said I was an NDC member and I was taken out,” she added.

The NDC executive further stated that she was not given a fair hearing before her dismissal, describing the circumstances surrounding her removal as unfair.
Despite the setback, Tegah said losing her job turned out to be a blessing, as it helped shape the person she has become today.
She described her dismissal as the greatest blessing of her life, suggesting that the experience ultimately contributed to her personal growth and political journey.
