Founder and Leader of Hebron Prayer Camp, Elder Frank Kwabena Donkor, has opened up on the painful loss of his two sons in the recent Tema Community 1 aircraft crash, revealing how his wife’s words have helped him process the tragedy.

Speaking during a church service on Sunday, March 22, 2026, Elder Donkor turned to scripture to encourage his congregation on enduring difficult times, sharing the conversation he had with his wife in the aftermath of the incident.

According to him, his wife told him that many people had experienced the same fate of losing loved ones long before they were even born.

“My wife said to me that what has happened to us and we are going through happened to many people long before we were even born. I asked her why she said that and she explained to me that several people even in the bible experienced this long before we were born,” he said.

Drawing parallels with biblical figures, he added that Adam, Naomi and Job all lost their loved ones but were later blessed by God.

“Adam went through same experience with his first two children when the first born killed the second born child. Naomi also experienced the same thing of losing a husband and her children and even Job too who lost 10 children,” he noted.

Despite the tragedy, Elder Donkor expressed faith in God’s plan, urging members of his church to remain steadfast.

“I know that by the grace of God, everything he has destined for us shall surely come to pass. Let us console ourselves and be strong in the Lord because God is about to do bigger things in this church,” he stated.

He further disclosed that the incident has drawn attention from beyond Ghana, with several prominent figures reaching out to him.

“Following the incident, I’ve had several renowned world leaders reaching out to me. I didn’t know that the church was well known and had a high reach among people,” he revealed.

The Tema Community 1 aircraft crash, which claimed the lives of his two sons, has triggered an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.

The two brothers were reportedly riding a microlight helicopter when it crashed, leading to their instant death.
