Achimota Gold Championship

The Achimota Golf Club June Monthly Medal Championship will be played on Sunday, June 22. The competition, which is being sponsored by Taysec Construction Limited is in honour of Messrs. Van Heist and Theophilus de Boer, both members of the club who depart Ghana at the end of their business tours.

Mr. Samuel Adetola, Captain of the club to newsmen on Thursday that his club would also use the competition as a final brush-up for the National Peugeot Challenge Cup scheduled for Achimota on June 28 and 29.

Meanwhile, the Greater Accra Regional Qualifying Series of the Peugeot Challenge Cup would be played at Tema tomorrow Saturday, June 21.

Thirty golfers from the Men's section, 10 from the Ladies and two from the juniors categories would be selected to join other winners from the Western and Ashanti Regions for the finals.
