Ghanair Meets Overseas Managers

The management of Ghana Airways has invited their overseas managers for a two-day emergency conference, to deliberate on how best to bring the National career out the woods.

The overseas managers, who are already in the country, have been challenged to find strategies to get the airline out of bankruptcy. The two-day conference would provide an avenue for the participants to look at the historic performance of the National airline, and see where they failed in sustaining that.

The Director of Marketing of Ghana Airways, Mr Ransford Akai told Peace fm on Thursday that participants would be tasked with how to use the little resources available to achieve desirable results. Mr Akai however cautioned that, if the achievements agreed upon are not seen after the conference, heads could roll.

Meanwhile the editor of the independent newspaper Mr Edberg Faible who championed the campaign against a possible signing of contract between Ghanair and Nationwide Airlines has stated that, it has taken the Minister of roads and transport a very long time to cancel any dealings with nationwide airlines. He, however, congratulated the government for paying heed to the publications of the paper.
