Ghanaian fans arrive in Brazil

Hundreds of Ghanaian fans have begun trooping into Natal, the venue of the Black Stars opening 2014 World Cup game against the USA on Monday.

About 300 Ghanaian fans travelled the short five hour route directly from Accra on Ethiopian Airways direct flight to the coastal city of Natal that is awash with flags and in the right mood for a second game involving an African team after Cameroon lost here on Friday.

The Black Stars are due in the city on Sunday from Maceio for their only training session at the Esstadio das Dunas, but the hundreds of Ghanaian fans made sure their presence was felt well in advance as they arrived at the airport singing, drumming and dancing.

There are 500 Ghanaian fans in all expected in the city on a government initiative driven for private funding. This means the Black Stars will not lack support when they face familiar foes USA.
