Ghanaians In Chicago Celebrate Easter

Chicago, USA--The Church of the Ghanaian Community of Chicago celebrated this years Easter with pomp and style at 5500 S Woodlawn, Chicago, Illinois. The Ghana Community Church is the proud host of many dignitaries from Ghana; the noble list includes parliamentarians, ministers and Mr.John Agyekum Kufour, prior to becoming president of Ghana in 2001.

The service attended mainly by Ghanaians, included Black Queens player, Basilea Amoah-Tetteh; Mr. Adu Darkwa, a businessman ,Mr. Seth Amponsah Yeboah, an author, Mrs. Betty Agyeman, a Registered Nurse,Mr. Ernest Oware a Banker, all elders of the Church and Mr. Barnieh Agyeman, former Sanaahene,Asanteman Association of Chicago.

Officiating minister, Reverend Paul P. Appiah-Kubi exalted all to eschew adultery, back-biting, child trafficking, dishonesty and many other social ills to enable them benefit from the risen Christ.

Songs and praises led by Abigail Sarpong made parishioners burst into a raucous cheer to their feet dancing with joyous tears.
