Basketball: Weekend Wrap - Up

After their streak of International friendlies, the Braves of CEPS have returned to league action and continued their dominance in Accra Basketball. Last Wednesday, they beat Magic, yet another Tudu based team 79-40. They are definitely favorites to win the title once again.

Nima Flames beat Fire Service 71 - 36 whilst Warriors edged Police 69 -60.

On Saturday, Reformers has an easy ride over Police winning 79 - 49.

Fire Service was able to chalk their first win over AFTER 7 in a game that was marred with very terrible officiating. Indeed After 7, sporting their new COWBELL warm up shirts came out to play and controlled the game all through. At one point they led by as many as 15 points. Fire however rallied back behind some very controversial calls from the referees and managed to win the game by a single point 51 -50. This will most likely be their only win of the season whilst After 7 will look forward to beating POLICE and probably MAGIC.
