Colts players invited for camping

Sunyani (B/A), May 11, GNA - Twenty-Five Under-12 colts football players have been invited by the Brong Ahafo office of the Ghana Education Service to prepare towards this year's National U-12 colts sports festival scheduled to be held in Koforidua from May 21 to 29. Speaking to the GNA Sports in Sunyani on Wednesday, the two coaches of the team, Mr Foster Boateng and Mr George Opuni said the players who had been in camp since May 5 were selected during the recent inter-district U-12 colts competition organised by the GES in Sunyani.

The two coaches who are the sports organisers of Kintampo and the Asutifi Districts said that 28 players were originally selected but the number was reduced to 25 and later pruned down to the final 20 players before the contingent leaves for Koforidua.

The team would engage in at least three friendly matches against selected colts clubs in Sunyani to find tune the players as part of their preparations.

The first match would be against Sunyani Liverpool at the Coronation Park on Thursday, May 12, to be followed by an encounter with Young Kotoko on Saturday May 15.
