GBC Bans Ato Conduah

A decision has been taken to ban the media analyst, Ato Conduah, from appearing on the Ghana Broadcasting Television.

Last month, he criticized both the Director-General and Chairman of the Corporation on Saturday?s Big Breakfast Show.

This obviously did not go down well at the top of the organization forcing a public apology being read on the Big Breakfast Show two Saturdays ago.

But, in a move reminiscent of the NDC era, where commentators were banned for criticizing President Rawlings, Eva Lokko and Prof Stephen Adei have effectively decreed that Ato Conduah be stopped from appearing on the Breakfast show.

Ironically, many commentators have often laid arguably unfair criticisms on political figures, such as President Kufuor, former President Rawlings, Yaw Osafo Maafo and Prof. Mills, yet, the GBC appears to rather see politicians as fair game but not its leadership.
