The Vice President of Ghana, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has called on the private sector to actively support the Free Sanitary Pad Initiative by the government.
Speaking during a meeting with the Sunda Group on Tuesday, January 13, 2025, she stated that the initiative is a priority for the government.
"A girl’s natural biological functions should never prevent her from learning or achieving her full potential. That is why the Free Sanitary Pad Initiative remains a priority for government, with GH¢292.4 million allocated in the 2026 Budget," she noted.
