Alfred Thompson, NPP Treasurer hopeful, has questioned the effectiveness of government efforts to address flooding in Accra, saying the situation has worsened despite interventions.

Speaking on Good Morning Ghana on Metro TV with host Moro Awudu, Thompson asked, “What happened to the Deputy Chief of Staff, Stan Dogbe, and his team touring Accra to solve the flooding problem? We rather see it as worse now.”

He explained that following widespread flooding across the country a year ago, President John Mahama established a committee tasked with addressing the recurring issue.

However, according to Thompson, the committee—reportedly led by Stan Dogbe—has failed to deliver results, as flooding has recurred and continues to destroy properties in several parts of Accra.
