Energy Minister pays courtesy call on National Chief Imam

Minister for Energy, Hon. John-Peter Amewu yesterday, February 6, 2020, paid a courtesy call on His Eminence Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, National Chief Imam, at this residence in Fadama, Accra.

The visit was to officially introduce himself to the National Chief Imam and to inform him about governments massive successes chalked in Ghana’s energy sector.

Welcoming the energy minister, His Eminence Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu offered prayers for Hon. John-Peter Amewu and his team.

The Minister also took the opportunity to inform the Chief Iman of his intention to contest the Hohoe Parliamentary seat and asked for his blessings and prayers. In his response, His Eminence Sheikh Osman Sharubutu gave his blessings to the minister and offered additional prayers to support him in his endeavour.

Hon Amewu further expressed his appreciation for the continued love and support he has been receiving from the Muslim community over the years especially those within the Hohoe Constituency. He then assured the Chief Imam of his preparedness to work for the betterment of the Muslim community in Hohoe and other parts of the country.

“My office is readily available to work with your office to achieve a greater Muslim community” he said.

To conclude the meeting, the minister offered his appreciation and gratitude to the chief Imam and his team for making time to meet him.
