Muntari is not going anywhere -Udinese

Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari claims he is "99% sure" to become a Portsmouth player, but Udinese have denied a deal is imminent.

Muntari, 21, starred for his country at the World Cup, and appears eager to join up with Harry Redknapp in the Premiership.

"If this is what he thinks, then I would say the 1% is worth a lot more than the 99%," Udinese general manager Roberto Zanzi said on the Italian club's website.

"I can confirm that there was interest from Portsmouth in July, but nothing has been taken forward to this day.

"I can repeat, there are no negotiations between us and the English club.

"I have a lot of respect for him," Muntari said of the Portsmouth boss.

"He has had a lot of lads from Africa in his squad and I think I can develop a lot under him."
