Black Queens to host Ghatel Ladies

The Women National team, Black Queens, will play Ghatel ladies, Greater Accra Women Soccer league leaders, in a friendly match on Thursday, November 21 at the Winneba Sports Complex.

The match will serve as part of the preparations of the Queens towards the women version of the African Cup of Nations to be hosted by Nigeria from 7 to 21 December. Ghatel who have a number of their star players in camp with the Queens will seek to add the Queens to their tall list of victims in the Thursday encounter.

Josephs Ayittey, Team manager for the league leaders told GNA sports that his side is well drilled to give the Queens the needed opposition. He was optimistic that the match will give handlers of the Queens the opportunity to smoothen the rough edges of the national team before they emplane for Nigeria in two weeks time for the fiesta. The Queens have been in camp for the past four months preparing for the tournament.
