French Company Produces Charcoal At Esiama

Esiama (Western Region), 3 Nov., PICA, a French company, has assisted the Essiama-Basa Central Carbon Company Limited of Ghana (CCCLG) to produce 100 bags of charcoal from copra shells. PICA, which has purchased the finished products, provided the 38- member staff of the company with technical expertise for the production of the charcoal under an agreement. The agreement enables PICA to transfer the technology to produce the charcoal and buy them for use in France. Mr. Richard Kyei-Amoah, chief executive of CCCLG told the GNA, that PICA assisted CCCLG to build the charcoal factory, the first of its kind in the country.
