SWAG commences renewal of press ID's

Accra, May 7, GNA - The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has commenced the renewal of Identity Cards (ID) for its members following the expiration of the existing ones.

The existing press cards of the Association of International Press for Sports (AIPS) will also expire in December 2007 and plans are in place to ensure their renewal.

In view of these developments, members of the Association are to contact the secretariat at the Ghana News Agency (GNA) with two passport size photographs and a processing fee of 100,000 cedis for the two cards.

Payments and submission of photographs must be made by the close of the week to enable the sceretraiat expedite action on the renewal of the cards.

All members of SWAG are entreated to endeavour to renew their local ID's and the AIPS Press Cards to enhance the performance of their duties and flush out quacks in the system.
