Chief Justice, Georgina Theodora Wood has urged Christians to lead productive lives.

According to her, Christianity without a productive life is meaningless.

“Our Christianity is meaningless if we cannot lead productive lives which positively impact and transform lives and our society”.

She made the remarks at the opening ceremony of the 2017 Extraordinary Council Meeting of the Church of Pentecost, which was held at the Pentecost Convention Center at Gomoa Fetteh on Wednesday.

Reiterating the president’s statement to workers on Labour Day, she said exhibiting poor attitudes towards work that negatively affect the growth and development of Ghana must be tackled.

As the advocacy against “galamsey” continuous, her Ladyship called on the church to gird up its loins and join government and the rest of the society to fight against the menace.

“We need to let the people of God understand that as stewards of the environment, the Lord expects each one of us, without a single exception to manage all that he has entrusted into our hands responsibly and dutifully help to protect and defend our natural resources against waste and degradation,” she said.

She further urged churches to educate the communities on the effects of galamsey on present and future generations.

The 2017 council meeting comes with the theme, “I am an Example Of Christ In My Generation” and is in pursuant of vision 2018 of impacting generations and as a follow-up to last year’s theme, “Hearing And Obeying The Lord’s Voice In My Generation.”
