German ambassador assures Ghana of support

Accra, June 12, GNA 96 Mr Peter Linder, the German ambassador to Ghana has said that there was no need for the Ghanaians to worry about the kind of support the Black Stars will get during the World Cup Germany as the Ghanaians are guaranteed a powerful support base during the tournament.

In a press statement released in Accra apparently to soothe Ghanaian nerves, the Ambassador said 91more than a thousand supporters are on their way or have already travelled to Germany to cheer their national team.=92

Mr Linder said it was no secret that Black Star fans by far outnumber fana from other countries in the region, adding that first fan reports from Germany indicated a strong confidence in the Ghanaian national squad as they were preparing for their maiden appearance in a World Cup tournament.

He said another thing going well for the Black Stars was the weather, which was bright and sunny. The Ambassador wished all Ghanaian fans an exciting world cup.
