Outspoken Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central Constituency in the Central region Kennedy Agyepong, is claiming that the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) Dr. Stephen Kwabena Opuni, is shredding vital documents in his office.

He alleged on Monday that the COCOBOD boss on the dawn of last Tuesday and Wednesday sneaked into his office and started shredding documents believed to be fishy contracts he signed while in office to cover up from the incoming transition team.

Mr. Agyepong on an Accra-based radio station claimed Dr Opuni last Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at about 1am, started shredding the documents to conceal alleged fishy deals which he believes will expose him.

“Opuni went to his office on Tuesday at 1 am and started shredding documents. He again went there on Wednesday at 2 am to do the same thing and I will expose him. Why is he doing that, is it because his government is leaving power,” he quizzed.

The maverick politician said Dr Stephen Opuni has close to over 41 points to provide responses to including the processes in the awards of contracts and renovation works under his watch.

The maverick politician said Ghanaians will be shocked over his exposé in the coming days involving functionaries of the current government whose actions and inaction almost put the Ghanaian economy on its knees.
