FNF Donates to Four Institutions

Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF), a German NGO yesterday presented computers and other office equipment to the Institute of Financial and Economic Journalists (IFEJ), Business and Professional Women (BPW), Ghana, Organisation of African Liberal Youth (OALY) and Private Newspapers Publishers Association (PRINPAG).

All four are partners with FNF in their individual areas of operation.

IFEJ's aim is to train its members to disseminate financial and economic news in its simplest, yet interesting form for the average reader.

BPW is a non-profit organisation of dedicated women, committed to the training and advancement of less fortunate Ghanaian women. OALY is a coalition of liberal youth groups in Africa. Currently, Ghana holds the presidency. And PRINPAG is the umbrella for private newspaper publishers.

Mrs. Majorie Beeko, Programme Officer of FNF who presented the equipment to representatives of the four institutions said it was in line with FNF's objectives to promote the rule of law and freedom of expression.

"As you know, FNF is concerned not only about the individual freedoms, but also with economic development," Mrs. Beeko said.
