Four visually impaired and one physically challenged graduate have received their Certificates of Enrollment as Barristers and Solicitors of the Supreme Court of Ghana.

The certificates were presented to them by Acting Chief Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie during this year’s Call to the Bar ceremony.

In a video post on X by The1957News on October 10, 2025, Justice Baffoe-Bonnie was seen presenting the certificates to the graduates, who joined 824 Lawyers-in-Waiting being officially enrolled as new members of the Bar.

The moment drew admiration from many Ghanaians online, who praised the graduates for their determination and perseverance in pursuing legal education despite their physical challenges.

They include George Amoah, Paul Mensah, and Oscar Dela Kanga.

The inclusion of the five graduates was described as a proof of the Ghana School of Law’s growing commitment to ensuring equal access to legal education and professional opportunities for all qualified candidates, regardless of disability.

This year’s Call to the Bar ceremony was held on Friday, October 10, 2025, in Accra, bringing together 824 new lawyers who successfully completed their professional legal training and passed the Bar examinations.

The event was attended by members of the Judiciary, the General Legal Council, distinguished members of the Bar, legal scholars, family members, and well-wishers from various sectors, including the media and entertainment industry.

The Acting Chief Justice congratulated the new lawyers and encouraged them to uphold integrity, discipline, and professionalism in their practice as they begin their careers as officers of the court.
