Carlos Queiroz, the coach of Ghana’s senior men's national team, the Black Stars, has named his final squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The coach named a 26-man squad comprising 3 goalkeepers, 9 defenders, 6 midfielders, and 8 forwards.
The named squad excluded Ajax Amsterdam goalkeeper Paul Reverson and Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi, who were part of the 28-man squad at the pre-World Cup camp in Cardiff, Wales.
Some of the notable names in the squad are skipper Jordan Ayew, Antoine Semenyo of AFC Bournemouth, Inaki Williams of Athletic Club, and midfielder Thomas Partey.
The confirmed list implies that the Stars will be without former skipper Dede Ayew and star forward Mohammed Kudus at the World Cup, which starts on June 11, 2026.
