The Managing Editor of the Daily Dispatch newspaper Ben Ephson has advised MP for Effutu Alexander Afenyo Markin not to comment on the alleged leaked tape that appears to implicate him in a bribery scandal regarding the ADB IPO.

According to the pollster, any attempt by the legislator who doubles as lawyer for one of the plaintiffs seeking to stop the IPO, will aggravate an already embarrassing expose’ in the audio which contains a voice that bears a striking resemblance to his.

In the voice recording, two people, one thought to be the MP-cum-lawyer, was heard planning to present a weak case against the IPO before the Supreme Court so the court could easily quash it to enable him and an unnamed number of MPs benefit financially.

The discussion between the two also details huge amounts of monies that they have already collected from business people who are interested in seeing the IPO come into fruition.

The damning audio also reveals that the decision to withdraw an initial suit against the IPO was deliberately done to enable the bank to go to the market with the sale of shares.

Meanwhile, the legislator has told Metro TV that he will not withdraw the current suit against the IPO at the Supreme Court.

ADB has, however, indefinitely suspended the IPO.
