Arrogant Tsatsu has wasted our time in court - AFAG

Deputy Operations Director of the Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG), Maame Afua Akoto, has established her displeasure at the way time has been handled at the Supreme Court in the ongoing election petition case.

Speaking from her personal point of view, Maame Afua Akoto noted on Oman FM that with the way proceedings have ended in court recently, she is forced to think that some unknown persons “feel uncomfortable” and call for an abrupt end of proceedings when lawyer for the petitioners throw questions which doesn’t favour the NDC, to Mr. Asiedu Nketia.

She singled out Mr. Tsatsu Tsikata, counsel for the third respondent in the case, and blamed him for deliberately unearthing new areas in court which he knows would make a whole day’s proceeding unfruitful.

“Thanks to arrogant man Tsatsu, we wasted the whole of last week...he wanted a recount of pink sheets and time to warm up”, she said.

“I am a bit disappointed when it comes to certain decisions the Supreme Court has taken. They knew Monday was a holiday and most people expected them to have prolonged the proceedings last Thursday, like they did in the past. It seems someone is always not comfortable when NDC is in the docket or when questions are being pushed to the NDC’s corner...when Doctor Bawumia mounted the witness box; they used to close at 5p.m.”, she added.
