Ara B, Don Itchi, Joyce Blessing kick off BHIM Concert 2017

After months of anticipation , dancehall star Stonebwoy’s annual BHIM Concert is underway at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Holding in honour of his recently-released fourth project Epistles of Mama, the event has so far, witnessed impressive performances from rapper Don Itchi, Ara B, and effervescent gospel songstress Joyce Blessing. It is compered by comedian DKB and fashion man Elikem The Tailor.

The charismatic singer is expected to be joined onstage by other top acts including ZYLOFON’s Becca, Joyce Blessing, Kumi Guitar, Edem, and Obibini, UK based Kojo Funds, Grammy nominee Rocky Dawuni, as well as a surprise Jamaican act.

Epistles of Mama, jointly published by ZYLOFON Music and the artist’s own BMG imprint, consists 24 songs and features a flavoursome array of local and international heavyweights as Sean Paul, Chronixx, Sarkodie, Pressure, I Octane, Efya, Vanessa Bling, Joey B, Kabaka Pyramid all feature on the double CD project: one half dedicated to Afrobeats, and the other, reggae/dancehall.

The album follows other well-received projects as Grade 1, Necessary Evil, and Livingstone. A tribute to mother Catherine Satekla who passed in 2015, EOM joins a list of top GH acts to drop projects this year; others including Sarkodie, EL, and Becca, Trigmatic, MzVee, and Ebony.
