Kojo Antwi in a new direction

Ghana's international music superstar, Kojo Antwi, keeps pushing the limits of his achievements higher and higher.

In anticipation of his usual December 24 performance, Rasta-haired Kojo Antwi has gone to town again with his 11th album since he started his illustrious career in music.

The 11th is not only fantastic but also gives a different direction as the ?ladies man? adds some gospel songs the new album.

?Oni Bi Adanfo and Spread His Love, the two gospel songs on the album may perhaps add more fans to Kojo?s teeming lovers and admirers. Rev. dr. Otabil of Central Gospel church, the man mentioned by the Super loverman as his mentor would definitely be glad with the transformation that is coming into the life of the man who has never mentioned Jesus before in his songs till now. Will Mr. Antwi be shaving off his locks as Kwame Ayew of football fame did some years ago when he became born again?

In spite of the gospel songs, ?Densu? as Kojo titled the new album has the typical Kojo Antwi style.

Mr. Antwi who is dubbed as one of the best crowd pulling, best selling music artist in Ghana, started his career with the Boomtalents in 1977. A year later the Classique Handels was formed. Their superb performances took them to Cote d'Ivoire, Niger, Burkina Faso, Benin and Togo.

The group inspired by artistes like Alpha Blonde who later made it big time. The group later changed its name to Classic Vibes, and went on an invitation tour of Denmark, to perform at the famous Afro Festival alongside renowned artistes from England, and Jamaica, including the legendary reggae star Bob Marley's wife Rita Marley.

At the end of it all, Classique Vibes was adjudged the best group.

Kojo?s latest album also contains songs like ?Odo Ne Wappi, Me Dee Ne Wo A and Nfe me Nko Ho. But perhaps the hit song for many is ?Amirika? for various serious reasons.
