Alan Kyerematen to speak on Global Trade Reform today

Alan John Kwadwo Kyeremanten, New Patriotic Party Presidential hopeful for the 2016 elections and International Trade Expert arrived in London on Sunday to speak on the Future Dynamics of Global Trade at Chatham House, London on Tuesday, 10th June 2014. Mr. Kyerematen is among the distinguished Panel of International Guests to speak on Global Trade: A Trade System for the 21st Century.

The Chatham House is a highly rated Independent Think Tank on International Affairs that has played host to several distinguished conference panelists and speakers. Among the distinguished Ghanaians who have addressed the Chatham House are former President John Agyekum Kufuor and the late President John Evans Atta Mills.

Mr. Kyerematen was until recently the Coordinator for the Africa Trade Policy Centre of the UN Economic Commission for Africa. He is also a former Minister of Trade, Industry and President’s Special Initiatives under the President Kufuor’s administration.

In addition, Alan shared his views on how trade agreements can balance the interest of developed country corporations with aspirations of corporations in developing economies, in a preceding session on Trade Liberalization on Monday 9th June 2014.
