Alan, Apraku are no match for Mahama – Appiah-Ofori

The political end of Mr. Alan Kyeremanten or Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku would be the reverse story of David dismantling Goliath, if any of the above names dare face President Mahama in 2016.

To avoid any future shame and a lifeless political career, P.C. Appiah Ofori counsels that none but Nana Addo should be made to face President Mahama because his political portfolio towers over him.

He noted that in the event that Mr. Kyeremanten or Dr. Konadu is made a flagbearer, the NDC would be given the arsenal to damage the NPP.

“Ex-president Kufuor intentionally appointed Alan as Trade minister so that he could supervise the cassava project in order to make him popular. To be sincere, that project was supposed to be handled by the Agricultural ministry."

"But in the end, Alan failed abysmally, he couldn’t handle it. If we (NPP) are to make him our flagbearer, the NDC would quickly go to the villages and tell them that the NPP has made a person who can’t even manage cassava their leader.”

”As for Dr. Konadu, my God! Does he also want to be president? Am sure he didn’t think before making that decision…Apraku to challenge Mahama? Is it possible? We must rather be one and fight for Nana,” he cautioned.

He deliberately put Nana Akufo-Addo on a pedestal and stated that he is the only candidate blessed with the prowess to skunk the president in an election.

President Mahama, according to the former Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa MP, would be too strong for Mr. Kyeremanten or Dr. Konadu to handle.

“Which one of them can really challenge President Mahama?” he sarcastically quizzed.

Speaking on Okay FM, he called on the aspiring contestants to abandon their presidential vision and rather support Nana Addo with their time and resource if they aim to build a political future. “When Nana Addo retires, Alan and the rest can set their game up,” he said.
