GFA extends deadline for payment of tickets for World Cup

Accra, May 1, GNA - The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the extension for the payment deadline for tickets for the 2006 World Cup soccer fiesta to Friday, May 5.

The Association has therefore called on the general public to contact the various Regional Football Associations to check on their names and make the necessary payments without delay.

Mr Kofi Nsiah, the General Secretary of the GFA said this in a Press Release copied to the GNA Sports on Monday urged all interested parties to ensure that they meet the new deadline to avoid any disappointment. In a related development, Mr Nsiah announced the names of some branches of Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) that are to receive payments for the tickets for the World Cup.

He said successful applicants are advised to pay to the Osu, Legon, Circle, High Street and Dome branches of the GCB in Accra and Tema. The other branches are Ahinsan, KNUST and Obuasi in Kumasi Ashanti Region, Takoradi Harbour, Akosombo, Akim Oda, Sunyani and Aflao.
