Adwoa Safo's comments boost Ken Agyapong's campaign – Barker-Vormawor

Convener of the #FixTheCountry Movement, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, has described recent comments by former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament, Sarah Adwoa Safo, as an unintended boost to the political image of Kennedy Agyapong.

In a Facebook post on Monday, December 15, 2025, Oliver argued that Adwoa Safo’s remarks serve as a strong campaign message in favour of Kennedy Agyapong, particularly at a time when issues of integrity and governance are central to public discourse.

According to him, the comments suggest that Kennedy Agyapong is a principled politician who would not engage in nepotism if given a leadership role in government, a quality he said many Ghanaians are demanding from political leaders.

“She is saying that Kennedy is so principled that he won’t appoint family into government,” Oliver stated in the post, describing the implication as positive, rather than damaging.

He explained that resistance to appointing family members into public office reflects discipline, independence, and respect for the public trust, values he believes resonate strongly with the electorate.

Oliver concluded that Adwoa Safo’s comments, whether intentional or not, reinforce Kennedy Agyapong’s appeal to voters who are frustrated with political favouritism and are calling for a more accountable and merit-based system of governance.
