The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, has reportedly been arrested by the police.
According to multiple reports online on Monday, April 13, 2026, he was picked up by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service over allegations of offensive conduct conducive to the breach of the peace, false publication, and conduct likely to cause fear and panic.
The arrest is also linked to alleged threats directed at a judge at the Adenta Circuit Court, according to sources familiar with the investigation.
Abronye DC rearrested, granted GH¢1 million bail
“Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC and Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has been arrested by the CID Headquarters of the Ghana Police Service,” Nsem 360 reported on X.
It would be recalled that in September 2025, Abronye was previously arrested on charges of offensive conduct conducive to the breach of the peace.
