Olympics to withdraw players from Hearts

Accra, Feb. 11, GNA - Accra Great Olympics have threatened to withdraw their players from Accra Hearts of oak if the Confederations Cup Champions do not redeem their previous indebtedness to the club.

Speaking to the GNA Sports on Thursday, Mr Richard Oblotei Solomon, a lawyer and the immediate past chairman of Olympics said it was sad that Hearts had decided to poach players from Olympics without fulfilling their debt obligations to the Wonder club on earlier transfers.

He said it was morally wrong for Hearts to continue to keep monies due to Olympics after netting huge sums of money from the Confederations Cup matches.

Mr Solomon said under the circumstances, Olympics would have no other alternative than to withdraw their players from Hearts of Oak until the Confederations champions cleared their outstanding bills. Consequently, the Olympics secretariat has written officially to Hearts and GHALCA, stating the position of the club.
