Abeiku Ainooson struggling with thigh strain

Asante Kotoko defender Abeiku Ainooson is struggling with a thigh strain and has already began physiotherapy to overcome his fresh injury set up, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The 24-year-old has been ruled out of the side’s Super 2 return leg against rivals Hearts of Oak on Sunday.

The fresh setback comes a major blow for Ghana Premier League champions who are determined to record a famous double over their arch rivals.

Ainooson has been a pillar at the back for Kotoko since arriving from New Edubiase almost two seasons ago.

Mas-Ud Dramani however has to make do without his key defender starting with the vital Super 2 return clash against Hearts of Oak on Sunday.
