6:15 AM: That very moment the 6 caskets arrived at the Black Star Square

It is a final farewell for the 6 out of the 8 gallant men who crashed to death on August 6 It is a final farewell for the 6 out of the 8 gallant men who crashed to death on August 6

Military men in uniform, carefully taking their marching steps in precision is not very new to many, but the occasions that bring out these disciplined professionals makes the moments finer, or better, always.

The August 15, 2025, slow march steps by the men in the Ghana Air Force uniforms was an unusual one this time. They had, on their shoulders - 6 men at a time, the caskets of the final remains of 6 gallant Ghanaians.

In real life, all six men were fathers, brothers, husbands, uncles, colleagues, friends, and above all, patriots who died in the line of duty - duties to their nation.

They crashed, or more clearly, died in a helicopter crash that is still mired in many mysteries and unanswered questions in the forests of Adansi, while en route for national assignments.

Each man gone without proper notices, their deaths have kept the entire nation on its edges, mourning and scared out of its sockets as to how all of these pounding nightmares of the unknown will ever go away; the memories and the heartaches.

But it was at exactly 6:15 AM, on Friday, August 15, 2025, that the 6 men were carried in coffins draped in Ghana flags, to the forecourt of the Black Star Square on a journey of finality in this junction of existence.

One by one, their names will be sounded through the speakers at the Black Star Square for one last time, expecting no responses from them.
